Love Is Blind viewers have found a clever way to watch the popular show without seeing the contestants until they’re coupled up.

Reality TV show ‘Love Is Blind‘ has finally returned to Netflix, with the highly-awaited sixth season releasing six brand new episodes on February 14.

In this dating show, single contestants get to know one another from within ‘pods,’ where they can only chat via a speaker. This starts with a speed-dating format, but they can have longer dates later on.

To meet the person face-to-face, a proposal must be accepted, and after couples are engaged, they are sent to a couples’ retreat where they can get know each other better. Ultimately, they face weddings, where they decide whether to proceed with marriage.

While viewers get to see the suitors from the beginning, some fans would rather keep them a mystery until they’re coupled in order to experience the first few episodes the same way the contestants do.

In a viral clip with over 731,000 views, TikToker ktsumsion shared that they’ve been watching the new season by partially covering their TV with a blanket, leaving only the closed captions visible.

They then unveil the screen precisely as the engaged couples meet face-to-face, so that they find out what the newly engaged pair look like right when the actual couple does too.

Many TikTok users in the comments seemed to love this idea. “I’ve already started watching this season but might have to do this next season!” one fan wrote.

“That’s so funny I had this idea that they should only show it with a black screen and subtitles,” another said. “I have always said I think it should be blind for viewers and no one listens to me!” a third added.

Others, however, found it impractical. “How did you not get bored just watching the blanket. I could do this if I was cleaning or something,” one user said.
