Love Is Blind Sweden viewers label Rasmus as Season 1’s villain after shallow comment

Rasmus from Love Is Blind Sweden has managed to cross several lines after exposing how much he cares about looks.

When eligible bachelors and bachelorettes sign up for Love Is Blind, they should understand what to expect based on all of the previous seasons within the franchise.

They are instructed to enter the pods dating experience, which allows them to start connections with each other without actually seeing each other.

Ultimately, they are revealed and have the opportunity to get engaged and married on-screen.

This is the same exact format for Love Is Blind Sweden, but within the first few episodes, it seems as though one contestant is taking it hard not knowing who’s behind the wall, or rather, what they look like.

Do Love Is Blind Sweden fans like Season 1’s Rasmus?

On January 13, LIB viewers took to Reddit to slam Swedish contestant Swedish for his actions during the first 3 episodes of the season.

Specifically, before he and his pods partner met face-to-face, he was extremely worried about her appearance (and not about anything else), making controversial statements like wondering if she was “a three” out of ten or “Chinese.”

These comments had fans going as far as labeling him “shake 2.0”, a nod to sizeist US contestant Shake Chatterjee.

One fan wrote, “The Chinese comment pissed me off. What did he even mean by that?”

Another fan wrote, “Yep some of the things Rasmus said made me wonder if he’s even aware he’s on a show that seeks to find out if you can fall in love with someone despite not knowing what they look like.”

Rasmus hasn’t publicly addressed the backlash as of yet. The next batch of episodes will be released on Netflix on January 19.
