Rita Ora is getting pretty comfortable with the idea of being Nicole Scherzinger’s permanent Masked Singer replacement.

For the first ten years of the celebrity guessing competition show, Masked Singer had the same four stars on the judge’s panel.

Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, and Ken Jeong join together to look at the clue packages to figure out who is behind each mask. The judge who guesses the most identities correctly takes home the Golden Ear Trophy.

The series is coming back soon with its eleventh season, but there’s a big change within the team.

Specifically, Nicole has another engagement in the form of a theatre role, resulting in her being replaced by popular music artist Rita Ora

And while fans thought this was going to be a temporary change until Nicole returns, Rita has other plans.

Rita wants to keep Nicole’s Masked Singer job

On February 26, Rita spoke with EW and when asked about whether or not she would want to keep her position on the show, she had a shocking response.

“I would love [that]. I’ve had such a great experience, and yeah, who knows? I’m really grateful that they have me on the show. I love it. It’s so fun,” she told the outlet.

Rita also made it clear that while she may be gunning for her job, she has no bad blood with Nicole.

She said, “…we’ve crossed paths in the past through the industry, and it’s been always nothing but love, and so it’s been amazing to be able to fill her very high heels.”

Nicole hasn’t publicly responded to Rita’s comments as of yet. Season 11 of Masked Singer is set to premiere on March 6.
