Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard’s tension continues to rise on The Real Housewives of Potomac — but why are the two feuding?

Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard of Real Housewives of Potomac have had an ongoing feud since Season 6 when Bryant claimed that Dillard’s husband Chris Bassett made her uncomfortable.

Dillard has since taken to social media to relay much of her feelings about Bryant, saying that although she stands for the word of a woman, she, nevertheless, backs her husband Bassett 100%.

Bryant and Dillard’s feud has gotten so intense that Bryant is now refusing to speak with Dillard during Season 8.

Candiace Dillard calls out Gizelle Bryant for having ‘white privilege’ 

During a private hotel room conversation between Bryant and Bassett at the Season 6 reunion, Bassett made Bryant feel like he was hitting on her.

Once Season 7 started, the tea about their discussion was hot, causing Bryant to tell Robyn Dixon how she felt about it, “Many a married man have tried me and I felt like he was trying to see if I was with it.”

Bryant continued, “He was complaining about his wife. So he was letting me know he was unhappy. Maybe I was supposed to say, ‘Oh, I can make you happy.’ Like, get out of here. He’s a sneaky link!”

Though Dillard claimed online that she supports a woman’s discomfort with men, she hasn’t let Bryant off easy, taking to social media in 2022 to call off their friendship, “Let’s be honest. You are no one’s friend. You come collect a check and go home to those purple walls.”

Dillard continued, “The small part of me that DID want to believe [you] weren’t total garbage [I] woke up when you decided to get creative with my husband.” 

Dillard has even gone as far as saying Bryant has ‘white privilege’ despite having two black parents. After this comment was made during the Season 7 reunion, it seems Bryant wants nothing to do with Dillard.

Though the two ladies are both on RHOP Season 8, which is currently airing every Sunday, Bryant has refused to talk to Dillard. Co-star Karen Huger even invited all of the ladies on the trip to Surry County to which Bryant kindly declined, as she had previously told Huger that “there is no moving forward” between her and Dillard.

Bryant also stated that she has received “hundreds” of death threats after Dillard’s direct comment during the Season 7 reunion. “You sit up here with your privilege white looking a** and you think you can say whatever the f*ck you want to say.”

Though Bryant and Dillard can’t seem to see through their problems, is there hope for their friendship as the season continues? Fans think not as one said if the dynamics don’t change, the show will “tank as bad as RHOA.”
