Southern Charm’s Taylor explains why she didn’t tell Olivia about kissing Austen
BravoTaylor Ann Green reveals why she kept her fling with Austen Kroll a secret from Olivia Flowers.
Taylor Ann Green kissed Austen Kroll before filming Southern Charm Season 9, and didn’t tell anyone about it.
Throughout the season, the rest of the cast were confused about the details of Austen and Taylor’s alleged hookup since they couldn’t keep their stories straight.
Austen’s ex Olivia Flowers was furious when she found out he and Taylor had feelings for each other because they both denied it at first. The fling put a strain on Olivia’s friendship with Taylor, and Olivia felt that she wasn’t genuinely sorry for what she did.
Taylor says Austen encouraged her to lie to the cast
On The Viall Files podcast, Taylor admitted that she should’ve told Olivia about her kiss with Austen immediately after it happened.
“I’m walking into filming for the first time like, by myself. I always had Shep to kind of protect me or like have my back and now I’m like walking into this by myself,” Taylor explained. “So I was leaning on him to be like, ‘How do I navigate this? I really want to just tell Olivia the truth.'”
Taylor said Austen told her to only bring up their conversation about possibly dating and not their drunken kiss if anyone in the cast confronts them. “And it was like, no one is going to ask us if we made out like, that’s such a middle school thing to ask. They’re going to ask if we hooked up. And the answer is no.”
She continued, “So, when I’m telling Olivia that and telling her a lie essentially, you know, I didn’t tell her the full truth, I was telling her a lie… only the conversation part and left out the kiss.”

Taylor blamed Austen for lying to Olivia because Austen didn’t want her to tell the full story to maintain his image.
The Southern Charm star slammed Austen for being selfish and not wanting this information to be shared with the cast.
However, Austen and Taylor dug themselves in a deeper hole by not being honest with the group and lost friendships along the way.
