Teresa & Danielle feud in Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 2 explained

Teresa flipped a table at Danielle and then had the iconic ‘country club chase’. A real feud erupted between the two stars on RHONJ Season 2.

Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub were the OG stars of RHONJ. Both the ladies joined the show during its first season – however, Danielle ended up leaving after the Season 2 finale. The fight happened at a country club where Teresa was throwing a dinner party for the Housewives.

Danielle was reluctant to accept the invite but came anyway after the ladies insisted she join. During the dinner, Dani chose to confront them about something that had been bothering her the entire season, and slammed a copy of Cop Without a Badge on the table.

It was a book about Dani’s ex-husband, explaining she was upset at the girls gossiping about her behind her back. This started an argument between Teresa and Dani which got heated quickly.

Teresa flips the table on Danielle

Dani created a scene at the dinner table, screaming at Teresa to put her ex-husband’s rumors to rest and telling her to ‘pay attention’ to what she was saying.

However, that triggered Teresa, who angrily put her hands under the dinner table and flipped it while screaming back “Prostitution wh*re! And you were engaged 19 times!”

The commotion caused security to step in and drag Teresa away from the scene. This happened during the RHONJ Season 1 finale, meaning viewers had to wait till the next season to find out what happened next.

Teresa chases panicked Danielle around the country club

The situation continued in Season 2, where Teresa and Dani tried to have another conversation. However, that also went horribly as the two Housewives threw curses at each other moments later.

“You know me I’m the sweetest person, I’m the nicest person…” Teresa said to Dani.

Dani cut her off immediately and said, “No, I don’t know you that way, but go ahead.”

Teresa insisted that her behavior at the dinner table was Dani’s fault. She said, “You got me to that point.” To which Dani replied, “No, Teresa you make your own decisions.”

The fight escalated to the point Danielle got overwhelmed and ran out of the country club with Teresa chasing behind her. Outside, Dani hid in a dark corner, clinging to a security guard and said, “Get me out of here. I’m going to pass out.”

While running out of the club, Dani’s heels broke and her hair was pulled by Ashley – her co-star Jacqueline’s daughter.

“She’s behind you!!” Dani screamed to the security guard carrying her to her car as Teresa followed them relentlessly in the parking area.

Eleven years after the incident, Dani came out with a book titled ‘Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of the Real Housewives From the People Who Lived It’.

In the book, she claimed that during the chase, Teresa had tried to stab her with a fork, which made her panic more. Teresa denied all the accusations.
