On February 11, the official Instagram account for The Golden Bachelorette posted a video with words flashing across the screen saying, “The announcement you’ve been waiting for is finally here. The Golden Bachelorette coming soon.”

There were additional details shared in the post’s caption that read, “The moment you’ve been waiting for: The Golden Bachelorette is coming this Fall.”

On May 14, ABC revealed that Joan Vassos would be the next Golden Bachelorette. The network shared a new video of her in a gold dress with the song, “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield playing in the background.

“Thank you, so excited for this journey,” Joan commented on the video.

The Administrator from Maryland became a fan-favorite on The Golden Bachelor when she left the season halfway through to support her daughter, who was pregnant at the time.

Fans in the comments were thrilled that Joan was picked to be the Golden Bachelorette.
