Who is the host of Love & Translation? Meet Sangita Patel
Instagram: sangita.patelSangita Patel debuts as the first host of TLC’s reality series Love & Translation — but who is she?
Though Love & Translation doesn’t have a translator for the three American men and 12 women from varying countries, the reality series does have a host, Sangita Patel, 45.
Having won awards for her previous hosting experiences, Patel was at home when she debuted as the first host for TLC’s Love & Translation.
Since filming, Patel has also commented on how “beautiful” the experience was to see a language barrier no longer become a barrier between the hopeful romantics.
Sangita Patel says hosting L & T influenced her marriage
Having told Distractify that being able to witness a “social experiment” in real-time as the new host of Love & Translation, Patel stressed that she couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
She’s already won an award for her hosting experience with ET Canada and has hosted other shows like HGTV’s Home to Win. Not only that, but Patel has also cameoed in multiple films.
Continuing with her interview with Distractify, Patel shared how “fascinating” she felt hosting Love & Translation would be prior to its start, “I just thought it was so fascinating.”
Patel continued, “I used to do interviews all the time with celebrities, or doing Home to Win where we gave a house away. But this was an opportunity to actually see how they evolved over the social experiment. And does it really work?”
Once Patel began filming for Love & Translation, she also said she learned a lot about how to communicate with her husband of 20 years.
With her learning experience, Patel urged fans of the show to contemplate how they communicate with their partners, saying, “I really want people to go back and think about how they communicate, like, how did you make that connection with your partner?”
Though Love & Translation is in its first season, Patel shared that she’s excited for fans to see the result.
To watch Love & Translation’s next episode, tune into TLC at 10:00 PM EST on Sunday, February 4.
