Summit gets Sea of Thieves revenge in epic Athena chest raid
Jaryd ‘summit1g’ Lazar is a master when it comes to the dark arts of Sea of Thieves, but after being struck down he made it his mission to destroy another team and steal their loot.
The popular variety streamer has taken his hilarious stealing skills to the world of Grand Theft Auto RP and other games in the past, but his heists in Rare’s pirate game are unrivaled.
After hiding in Sloops, Brigantines, Galleons, and even rowing boats in the past, he’s built up a reputation of being one of the hardest players to stop across the high seas.
However, his crafty tactics looked to have hugely backfired in a broadcast on November 10 after he was caught red-handed.
The former CS:GO player was based on another team’s ship, just waiting for his moment. Once the crew dropped their guard, just like he has done in the past, he was going to pounce.
It never quite worked out like that, though, after being spotted on the deck. From there, he was chased around the boat by the team before he managed to sneak in between some of their chests – the last place they would expect him to be.
He was forced to move location soon after, though, as a nearby volcano erupted and put him in danger of being hit, so he moved downstairs. It didn’t take long for them to find him again and finally strike him down, sending him off to the Ferry of the Damned.
Summit and his teammate made it their mission to hunt down the squad from there, setting their sights on some sweet revenge, and it didn’t take long for them to track the enemies down.
Knowing that they had a boatload of loot to cash in on, they waited at a nearby outpost – the only locations on the map where such treasures can be sold.
Moments later the crew arrived and were struck down by a shower of cannonballs coming from summit’s ship.
With the team down and their ship clearly in a bad state, sinking to the depths in Sea of Thieves, summit interacted with one of the harpoon cannons and simply plucked their most valuable treasures out of the water.
This might not have been the smoothest heist the streamer has been part of, but it just goes to show that even eliminating summit1g might not be enough to keep him away from your loot. Beware!
