A gamer criticizing a small detail in the new Spider-Man 2 has sparked a massive debate among the community.

The long-awaited Spider-Man 2 game developed by Insomniac was finally released on October 20, giving gamers the chance to play as their friendly neighbor Spiderman once again.

However, like many game launches, Spider-Man 2 is riddled with its fair share of bugs and glitches, which players have picked up on while swinging through the streets of New York.

Regardless, the game has still been highly praised by players for its innovative gameplay. However, some have shared their criticism of Spider-Man 2, sparking a massive debate.

Spider-Man 2 criticism sparks heated debate

In an October 20 tweet, one gamer criticized a small detail in the new Spider-Man 2, noting how the devs reused the same NPC which is noticeable when climbing up the side of a building.

“I thought I was experiencing Deja Vu, like a glitch in the matrix,” they said. “Lady on the 1st floor is the exact same NPC as the lady on the third floor. Same room, same lady, same timing.”

It’s fair to say the tweet sparked a massive debate, as others called out the gamer for nitpicking on minor details.

“You realize that if every single f**king window in the entirety of NEW YORK had a different interior the space needed to install the game would be insane,” one hit out.

Others simply told the gamer to stop playing if minor details bothered them that much. “Is it that hard to just enjoy a game lmao,” one wrote. “If the game upsets you this much stop playing it,” said another.

“Who cares? If this was the focus of the game then yes, it’s a problem,” a third added.

Nevertheless, just a few days after its release Spider-Man 2 has already broken PlayStation Studios records, making it one of the biggest games of 2023 for the PS5.
