KSI could be set to fight British boxing legend Amir Khan or Jake Paul in his next fight after Mike Tyson’s bout with ‘The Problem Child’ was postponed to later this year.

KSI has not stepped back into the boxing ring since losing to Tommy Fury in October, 2023. The YouTuber, however, is now looking to line up his next fight as a handful of options have presented themselves to ‘The Nightmare’.

Ahead of his long-awaited return, here is all we know about the next fight for the CEO of Misfits Boxing.

KSI next fight

A British boxing showdown between Amir Khan and KSI is rumored to be set for this August as the YouTube star’s next fight.

KSI has confirmed that he has a fight lined up for this summer, believed to be against Khan.

This fire was stoked by a social media post from Jake Paul, saying “KSI vs Amir Khan I f*** with. Good entertainment.” This prompted Khan, 37, to reply, “If he dies, he dies. Then [I] f*** @JakePaul up.”

Khan has even gone one step further on Capital Radio as he heaped praise on KSI, admitting that ‘The Nightmare’ poses a serious threat as a boxer.

“I know KSI really well,” he began. “We did an interview together. The way he’s been looking and knocking people out, throwing them punches, he’s not a bad fighter.”

“Nobody ever thinks a YouTuber is going to beat a professional fighter,” he continued. “Let’s hope that never happens, I think it’s embarrassing for boxing. But in that weight division, one punch can change a fight.”

Although we are still awaiting official confirmation over the fight, KSI vs Amir Khan could well be next up for the influencer in what will no doubt be an epic contest between the two Brits.

KSI vs Jake Paul

Following the postponement of Paul vs Tyson, KSI was called out by the American to fill in for ‘Iron Mike’.

The pair have a longstanding rivalry but have never met in the boxing ring. KSI has fought Jake’s brother, Logan, twice, but now ‘The Problem Child’ wants to avenge his sibling.

“KSI’s coach saying he is over 200lbs right now? So no weight excuses… Let’s run it for July 20th and then Paul Tyson in October / November,” he posted on social media.

However, that idea was quickly dismissed. “I’ve already got a fight lined up in August,” KSI responded. “Instead of you fighting an OAP at the end of the year (no one wants to see this), fight me in December instead.”

This prompted Paul to suggest early 2025 instead, after his rescheduled fight with Tyson. “I just gave KSI and his forehead the opportunity again for July,” Paul wrote. “He said he’s fighting in August. Cool. I’m fighting in October/November. February it is, 200 lbs, MSG, NYC. Get it done @MostVpromotions.”

Yet the two parties are still to agree on timings, with KSI eager for Paul to leave the Tyson fight alone and take him on at the end of 2024 instead.

“You asked for 185 Jake you fraudulent t**t,” the Brit fired back. “The old folks home has run out of options. This is all just noise. You don’t really want to fight. December, let’s run it at 185. No bulls**t. No excuses.”

Paul then threw in an extra sweetener, teasing the idea of both sets of brothers going head-to-head in a night of boxing that would see Logan vs Deji and Jake vs KSI on the same card.

Given that Tyson vs Paul is set to go ahead between October and December this year, and with KSI fighting in August, a February showdown between the pair is looking like a very plausible option.

Wildcard choices

KSI has also previously stated that he would like to face Conor McGregor or Floyd Mayweather Jr next, as well as a showdown with Paul or the rematch with Fury.

“I think the Jake [Paul] fight…” he told SportBible when asked what it would take for him to return to the ring. “The Tommy [Fury] rematch. There could always be [Floyd] Mayweather and Conor McGregor. Has to be top tier.”

The social media star also refused to rule out a fight against Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney, after rumors of a bout with the Premier League icon took the internet by storm.

Regardless of who he fights next, KSI has made it clear that he is not looking to leave the result up to the judges.

“I know what I did wrong with the Tommy Fury fight,” he told Misfits Boxing. “I felt like I didn’t jab enough, I didn’t play the boxing game enough. I left it to the judges. This time, I don’t want to leave it to the judges. I want to knock out my opponents and I want to do it emphatically, every time.

“There’s definitely things I’ve learned from my previous loss and I can’t wait to get back into the ring and show everyone that I am the best.”

When was KSI’s last fight?

KSI last stepped into the ring against Tommy Fury back in October, 2023. The YouTuber lost the contest on what was initially awarded as a split decision victory for Fury, before eventually being amended to a unanimous win after one of the judge’s scorecards was added up incorrectly.

KSI attempted to have the result of the fight overturned, but his appeals fell on deaf ears as the verdict remained in place.

Speaking about the fight, KSI said, “I feel like I did what I wanted to do at the end of the day.

“I was this kid who was a YouTuber who had no right being in the ring with Tommy Fury. I showed the world that if you believe in yourself and work hard you can literally do whatever you want.”

KSI boxing record

KSI’s overall boxing record stands at 4-1-1: four wins, one defeat and one no contest.

His defeat to Fury and win against Logan Paul stand out as two of his most high-profile bouts. KSI also won against FaZe Temperrr, Luis Alcaraz Pineda and British rapper Swarmz.

The YouTube star also appeared to claim victory against Joe Fournier as he was awarded the win on the night. But the bout would eventually be deemed as a no-contest after it emerged that KSI’s opponent was caught with an elbow during the fight.
