Members of the Starfield community believe they are finding some interesting locations that were meant to be tied to quests in the game.

For better or for worse, Starfield is all about exploring and there are plenty of locations that players can visit to do so.

From planets to moons and stars, there are some really unique and interesting places that can be found throughout the galaxy.

Now, some Starfield fans have discovered several locations they believe were originally part of quests before getting axed during development.

Starfield fans find former quest locations

A discussion about the locations in question is happening on the Starfield subreddit, where one player shared a locale they had stumbled across that holds a lot of interesting backstories.

The user explains: “800+ hours in and just discovered this place on Maheo I… insane this is a just random POI and not tied to a quest.”

Their post also comes with several images of the location, one showing a building of sorts that appears to have been the scene of a scuffle. In addition, the player mentions there were pirates roaming about when they landed.

Several users in the Starfield community have also found this location, and even share other places that they’ve explored with a similar vibe:

“Ka’zaal Sulfur Mine. It is the place where Barrett found his artifact. But is again not tied to any meaningful content, and you have to stumble upon it.”

The community thinks these locations were meant to be tied to quests at some point, but were scrapped for whatever reason before release.

Says one person, “Everything I’ve researched it’s not tied to a quest… might be content that never got finished!”

For those who feel disappointed by the game’s content, this discovery reinforces that by having interesting but “shallow” locations to find.

Whatever the reasons are for these locations, it is clear that a good chunk of the Starfield community is wishing for more content to entice them.
