AI tool goes viral for helping people cheat in job interviews

AI Interview tool

A new AI tool that lets you answer job interview questions in real time has gone viral, and people have had mixed reactions.

The AI tool in question is called OfferGoose, and it’s gaining popularity among users on Instagram. A video posted by the company on Instagram, which has over 28 million views, shows a person using the tool to answer interview questions.

While the video demonstration itself isn’t very slick, as the person using the tool doesn’t seem to be very discreet, it can still be helpful if you’re struggling to get past those interviews.

Based on the video, the AI tool listens to your conversation with the interviewer and generates answers to questions in real time. It takes a moment to generate a response, and during that time, it suggests what you can say to the interviewer to buy more time.

For example, when the interviewer asked, “What would you find difficult to do in this job?” the AI recommended asking for a moment to think before generating a suitable answer.

It’s not a foolproof tool

Many Instagram users commented asking for the name of the tool and how to use it, while other criticized the use of AI during interviews. “AI is making people dumb” said one commenter. If you’re this dependent on AI, you’re done,” said another.

“I had interviews with similar candidates. You can smell the scam in first 30 seconds,” another commenter added.

A quick look at the OfferGoose website reveals that the tool isn’t free to use, and we have doubts about its legitimacy.

The website doesn’t clearly state whether the tool can be used during live interviews; instead, it advertises it as a mock interview tool. If you plan on signing up, consider using the free trial option before committing to a payment. In fact, don’t pay at all; you can use ChatGPT for the same purpose instead.

There are more innocent ways of using AI to roast your Instagram account, or even your Twitter profile. Dexerto has rounded up some of the best roasts, too.
