The Apple Vision Pro headset is finally available for consumers just months after it was revealed during WWDC 2023.
Thousands of people arrived at their local Apple Store on February 2, 2024, to celebrate the launch and pick up their $3,500 purchase.
A video showing the reaction one customer received from store employees as they left has made its way around social media, and people aren’t a fan.
Apple Vision Pro customer gets a round of applause
Shortly after stores opened, Journalist Kate Kozuch shared a video of a person leaving the Apple Store with their new Vision Pro headset box in hand.
Around the man you can find over a dozen Apple Store employees giving them a round of applause as he shows off the box to people taking pictures and videos.
“The first person to walk out of the Apple Store with their Apple Vision Pro gets a big round of applause,” Kozuch said.
However, those across the world on Twitter weren’t impressed with the reaction and shared their thoughts in the replies of the tweet.
“I’ve seen some cringy videos. This might be the cringiest,” one user replied.
Another commented: “What a strange time to be alive in history.”
“Apple sure knows how to do launch day,” a third user said.
Overall, it seems that the consensus from those picking up the device on launch day is that it’s been quite enjoyable. If you’re on the fence about buying one for yourself, you can schedule a demo to try it out.
