Nothing has revealed its next smartphone and several audio accessories, and hinted at some key specifications of Nothing Phone 2a.

Nothing’s upcoming phone is not a flagship device. The company has confirmed that its third phone will be the Nothing Phone 2a, and is expected to launch soon.

In an official video, Nothing’s Co-founder and marketing lead Akis Evangelidis confirmed that the Nothing Phone 2a will carry the essence of other Nothing devices, including the software, to offer a similar user experience – but at a more affordable price point.

While Evangelidis did not confirm the launch date or the hardware configurations, he did mention that Phone 2a is codenamed Aerodactyl and is placed between Phone 1 and Phone 2.

From the announcement, Phone 2a looks to have the same transparent design and the Glyph LED interface unique to Nothing phones. However, the video also hints that the phone could be a marginal step up over the Phone 1 in terms of specification, but less powerful than the Phone 2.

Besides the phone, the company confirmed that it will launch a couple of audio accessories, CMF Buds and CMF Neckband Pro, under its sub-brand CMF, soon.

Based on various leaks and rumors, the Nothing Phone 2a is expected to come in Black and White colorways, similar to the previous two phones. The phone is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the Nothing Phone 2a might come with a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 processor coupled with offering 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage options. It might feature a dual-camera setup with two 50MP sensors each and a 16MP selfie camera.

The Nothing Pone 2a is rumored to launch around February 27 at the Mobile World Congress event. There is no clarity about whether the phone will be sold globally in regions like the United States.
