The Victrix Pro BFG PS5 controller just got better
Victrix ProVictrix has launched a brand-new Hall Effect add-on for its PlayStation and Xbox Pro BFG controllers.
When Victrix first launched its Pro BFG controller, it poised itself as one of the best PlayStation controller alternatives. The customizability of the controller easily set it apart from other third-party offerings, however, it was still missing one key feature — hall effect sticks.
Now, just 8 months after its original launch, Victrix has a solution with the Hall Effect Module Pack, compatible with both the PlayStation and Xbox Pro BFG controllers.
Victrix announced the brand new Hall Effect Module Packs on X/Twitter where it was revealed that the add-ons can “eliminate drift and increase accuracy.”
These compact modules can be swapped with the existing ones of the Pro BFG controllers, trading the analog sticks for hall effect sensors.
Typically, upgrading to Hall Effect sticks can be a tricky process. Giving your go-to controller, or even the sticks of your favorite handheld a hall effect upgrade involves the delicate process of taking your controller apart.
Not only can this have a knock-on effect on the warranty, depending on where you’re from. It also requires a lot of tech know-how, which not every typical player will have.
These brand-new Hall Effect modules, on the other hand, are designed to be easily interchangeable. Each module pack comes with a module swap tool, which can be used to safely unscrew the existing stick modules.
Then, all it takes is turning the magnetically held together screws, and pulling out the existing unit from the controller. This will leave two perfectly sized spots for your new hall effect module packs.
Victrix also recommends that you take time to recalibrate your PlayStation or Xbox Pro BFG controllers after the swap.
If you already have a Victric Pro BFG controller and want the add-on for yourself, you don’t have to wait. Both the white and black Hall Effect Module Packs are available to purchase right now from the PDP website for $39.99 respectively.
Better yet, the new modules are also compatible with the 4 analog stick caps included originally with the Pro BFG wireless controller.
