A Walmart customer was delivered his product with the security tag still attached, causing him to destroy the alarm by any means possible.

TikToker Andrew ordered a pricey item from Walmart and had it delivered through the store’s delivery services.

However, when Andrew received his item, a security tag with an alarm was still attached to it, causing him to take a hammer to the tag to stop the beeping.

Since sharing the process to TikTok, other consumers have commented with similar stories, while many were not so surprised that Walmart messed up his order.

Viewers suggest using a magnet to disarm the security tag

When Andrew bought a Polaroid product from Walmart, he didn’t expect to receive a beeping security tag attached.

Having to cut the alarm tag off with scissors, Andrew’s obstacles didn’t stop there. He then had to hammer the alarm because it wouldn’t stop beeping.

That, however, didn’t work. Ultimately, Andrew took the battery out of the alarm so it would stop going off.

Taking to TikTok to share his unboxing experience, Andrew captioned his video, “1 star for my delivery driver.”

Viewers of his viral TikTok have commented with similar experiences, “I used to work at Walmart. I was a door greeter. I hated having to remove those.”

And, “I work electronics at Walmart, and we have some that break on us. I usually slam them on the ground in the back to take out my frustrations.”

Many others suggested using a magnet to disarm the system, “You can remove those with a magnet at the 2 indented points on the front that’s flat, I used to work at Walmart, it’s how u remove them.”

Though security tags are typically taken off before the customer leaves the store, the Walmart driver may have walked out a door without a security system in place to make the alarm go off. However, Andrew did not specify if he spoke with the driver or not.
