Golden Retriever packs suitcase in adorable viral video

An adorable Golden Retriever has gone viral on TikTok, after putting his own items into his owner’s suitcase.

Leo is a sweet 4-year-old Golden Retriever who lives with a couple in Carmel, Indiana. His pet parents often share endearing and funny videos of him on their TikTok account, midwestgolden.leo, which has garnered more than 137,000 followers.

Recently, Leo’s mom had to pack for an important trip, leaving the dog behind with his dad. However, instead of being upset, the adorable Golden Retriever decided to take matters into his own paws.

In a viral clip, Leo was filmed carrying one of his toys in his mouth and dropping it inside an open suitcase lying on the floor. “When your dog sees you putting things into a suitcase and starts packing his things,” read the text overlay of the video, which has amassed over 1.2 million views.

“He just brought it back to the suitcase,” the dog’s mom said in disbelief. “What are you doing? Are you helping me pack for vacation?”

Many TikTok users in the comments begged Leo’s owner to take him with her. “No he is GOING on vacation I know it’s hard but I would try and smuggle my dogs in,” one person wrote.

“Hi I’m his lawyer and legally he has to go too,” another quipped. “You better bring him or DON’T GO please don’t leave him,” a third added.

Unfortunately, the Golden Retreiver’s mom is traveling all the way to Australia, and can’t bring him to the trip. She will be attending the Grand Slam tennis tournament after her grandmother passed away earlier this year, as it was on her bucket list. 

“I soooo wish I could [take him]. I’m going to the other side of the world though,” she replied to a comment. The TikToker also said that leaving her dog is one of her “least favorite things to do, ever.”

This isn’t the first time a Golden Retriever has gone viral on TikTok; last year, another one had viewers in hysterics after refusing to leave a brewery.
