Man arrested after viral rejection leads to “terrifying” rant

A man was arrested after being unable to handle rejection and going on a “terrifying” rant, with the “insane” ordeal captured on camera.

Getting rejected is an unpleasant experience, however, it is important to react maturely and not lash out at others simply because they didn’t respond how you’d hoped.

One man found this out the hard way after ending up in handcuffs due to his explicit and “terrifying” rant, spurred simply because a “compliment” he gave wasn’t appreciated.

TikTok user Lexi, who goes by ‘thelexxmuseum’, recorded the rant and shared it on the platform, leaving viewers horrified by the ordeal.

In the video, Lexi can be seen discreetly filming the man as he hurled insults, demanded respect, and threatened murder. In the caption, Lexi explained the incident took place “All because he complimented a woman [Lexi] was with and he didn’t care for her response.”

According to her, the man went on to blame the woman for dressing provocatively, though Lexi pointed out; “She could have had barely anything on and we still didn’t deserve to be told we’d look better in the back of his trunk on the [7 PM] news.”

In a follow-up video, Lexi gave further explanation as to what exactly went down and how the man’s continuous threats landed him in trouble with police.

She said, “My cousin and I and her friend went looking for food. In that quick moment, we passed [David Keith Herbert]. He gave a ‘compliment’ to the other girl… I don’t know what her response was… I don’t care — his behavior and his words were not warranted.”

“Me and my cousin tried to intervene, that’s when it became ‘Stay in a woman’s place, don’t talk to me, I’m a man, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,'” Lexi said, revealing Herbert then followed the women to continue his rant.

Staying in a crowd for safety, Lexi started recording Herbert once threats were made; “He had made the comments about putting us in his trunk multiple times, I just happened to catch the last time he said it.”

Ultimately, Lexi decided to call the police after gathering videos for evidence. When they arrived, she found out Herbert was already in trouble with the law; “He ended up getting arrested for a warrant unknown to me. His fault.”

Lexi also stated that she had been receiving hate messages from Herbert’s daughter since posting the footage online, but stood her ground and said, “So I was going to match your energy but your anger is misdirected. You should be angry at your father for coming outside and acting a fool and embarrassing you and your family.”

Viewers were horrified by the ordeal, sharing their disgust in the comments while praising Lexi for her “calm and strong” response.
