StubHub slammed in viral video after man is screwed out of front row NBA seats

A man has gone viral for calling out StubHub after he got screwed on courtside NBA tickets to see the Dallas Mavericks, and he was offered $130 in credit as a make-good. 

Buying a ticket for a big sporting or music event can be a big ask these days, especially with the number of people trying to make a quick bit of cash off the excitement of things. If you miss out on a general sale, you have to use ticket resellers, and while they guarantee you’ll get in, you will have to pay a premium. 

In the case of TikToker Dan, he bought courtside tickets for the Dallas Mavericks vs New York Knicks as he wanted to see Luka Dončić in action. 

However, things didn’t exactly go to plan, leading the TikToker to slam StubHub in a video that has gone viral. 

TikTok slams StubHub as NBA tickets aren’t sent despite being paid for

Dan’s first video, which has gotten over 512,000 views, was uploaded back on February 8, as the TikToker outlined that he’d purchased courtside tickets and paid for travel, but was left in the dark as to when he’d get the tickets on his account. In the end, that didn’t turn out to be the case. 

“I contacted customer services like ‘Hey, the game is on tonight and I still don’t have my tickets,’ and they were like ‘don’t worry about it, it shows in our system that the tickets will be released at 4:30’”, he said. Yet, that didn’t happen. 

Dan was promised “comparable” tickets but when the game came around he was offered something that wasn’t even close. “You just lost me for life,” he concluded, noting that StubHub offered him a refund but couldn’t do anything about the money he’d spent on flights and hotel. 

Viewers were also outraged, with some hitting out at the ticketing platform themselves and others sharing similar horror stories.

“Sue them for breach of contract…,” one urged. “How is StubHub selling tickets that haven’t even been uploaded into their system????” another asked. “Same thing happened to me for Drake’s tour,” added another. 

Dan added an update to the drama a few days later, noting he’d been offered $130 in credit from StubHub. “Wow, thank you but no thank you,” he said, urging the platform to penalize sellers who pull the same thing.
