Woman frustrated after wasting time at job interview for company that “wasn’t hiring”

A TikTok user went viral after telling viewers her frustrating job-hunting story where she went to a restaurant to interview for a server position only to find out they weren’t hiring.

TikTok user skunkprincess23 made a video to express her frustration about the horror job interview that she’d just had. Getting over 1.5 million likes in two days, she told the story of how she’d gone to a restaurant to interview for a server position only to find out that the company had no interest in hiring anyone.

“I had a job interview today,” she frustratingly tells the camera. “B*tch tells me to get there at two o’clock. I show up there a little bit early, I’m sitting there. ‘Hey I’m here for my interview, you told me to come in at two o’clock’ and they go ‘hey, sit at this little table’ and I go sit at the f**king table.”

She explained that she sat down at the table for 30 minutes with no one coming up to her to start the interview. She then went back to the first woman to ask when she could expect the interview to start.

“She goes ‘you’re still waiting?’ Yes, obviously I’m still waiting at this fucking table,” she frustratingly exclaims while ripping off her sweater.

“It’s okay, it doesn’t matter. The guy comes out and he goes ‘hey, uhh’ – doesn’t shake my hand, no ‘nice to meet you – ‘hey uh, I really don’t know why you’re here. I don’t really want to hire any new staff.'”

She then explained that the company had called her the previous day to invite her in for the job interview for the server position.

“You were doing that for a position you weren’t even hiring for, and you wasted my time and making me drive 40 minutes away to a restaurant I can’t even – and you’re not even hiring?!” she screams out to the camera.
