Woman reveals ‘red flag’ text that made her cancel on date last minute
TIKTOK: shahutasahaA woman went viral on TikTok after revealing that she canceled a date last minute due to a ‘red flag’ message he sent her while she was getting ready.
TikToker Utsha (shahutasaha) posted a now-viral story time video explaining why she canceled on her date while he was on the way to pick her up.
“I’m in shock and I need to tell people what just happened,” the Londoner said in the clip, which has amassed over 4.5 million views. “I’m dressed to get dinner tonight and this man is on his way and he’s booked dinner and he’s coming to pick me up.”
When he was just 30 minutes from her house, Utsha said her date sent her the following text: “Alright you shallow b*tch don’t judge my car. I’ve had it since I was 18 and no one has a car in London.”
The man’s lack of respect deeply upset her, especially given that they were still in the early stages of getting to know each other. “He is a 30-plus man who has a normal career. We barely have a friendly relationship. It’s only our second time getting dinner together,” she said.

Utsha then contacted her younger brother for advice, and he suggested that she cancel her date. She initially felt guilty about canceling as he was already en route, but she ultimately decided not to go.
“I thought to myself, this is not okay for me. And these are my standards. I don’t want to get dinner with someone that can just call me that whenever they want,” she explained.
After the man arrived, she told him the date was canceled and he left. However, he later phoned her to complain about her actions being “rude,” before hanging up when she told him how she felt.
Fortunately for Utsha, rejecting the date led her to meet someone nicer. “The moral of the story is, don’t be afraid to cut people off on the first go because what the hell,” she added.
TikTok users praised the content creator for standing up for herself. “Dodged a bullet on that one,” one person commented. “He just decided to hand you a red flag on a platter right there and then,” another said. “Good for you! People with no boundaries invite disrespect,” a third shared.
