A woman’s ex-boyfriend gifted her a self-help book the day they broke up, dividing the internet’s opinions about his intentions.

TikToker Bianca took to the platform on January 14 to share what her boyfriend of 10 years gifted her the day they broke up.

Since he gave her a self-help book, viewers of Bianca’s viral TikTok weren’t too sure how to feel about the intentions of her ex-boyfriend.

Though some referred to her ex as “passive-aggressive,” Bianca didn’t say too much about the “surprising” gift.

Woman says she needed the book because she “never valued” herself

Wrapped in an array of pink tissue paper, deep in a large sparkled pink bag with a heart on it, was Bianca’s self-help book entitled “Fall in Love with Yourself.”

Along with the gift was a handwritten letter from Bianca’s ex-boyfriend reading, “If you don’t love me anymore, can you love yourself now?”

Though Bianca didn’t state the reason for their breakup, she did caption her TikTok saying that she was “surprised” by the goodbye gift.

Those who have seen Bianca’s TikTok have debated whether or not her ex-boyfriend was giving her the book with good intentions, saying, “Regardless of his intentions, I think learning to love yourself is the key to true happiness in life.”

Wrote someone else, “Wow… that had me feeling all kinds of conflicting emotions.”

However, others responded by saying she should toss the gift and that his giving her the book was only a “manipulation” tactic after she grew strong enough to leave her ex-boyfriend.

Though Bianca didn’t say much about the breakup, she did respond to a comment saying she actually needed the book because she “never valued” herself.
