What is the “Baby Joker” movie? Viral clip explained
The Film ArcadeMillions of people on TikTok have watched a clip of “Baby Joker” talking to a girl in a shop – but what movie is it from?
TikTok is a singular, bonkers sphere for TV and movies. Its viral videos defy all logic; for example, a short film called Special Day generated fervent interest recently, while the trailer for a 2018 survival thriller called Rust Creek managed to rack up millions of views.
While streaming platforms fight for dominance in your living room, TikTok holds the monopoly of the world’s screen time – and no amount of marketing can contend with the power of its algorithm.
“Baby Joker” is another example, with the random clip amassing nearly 800,000 likes and thousands of comments, with many wanting to know exactly what it’s from.

The clip, shared by @yoga.has6 (which has since been removed, strangely), is from Family, a 2018 movie directed by Laura Steinel. We’ve found a similar clip below:
In the video, you’ll have seen Dennis (Fabrizio Guido) talking to a girl in a shop. “Girl I like your style, you’re mad hot,” he says, and she’s a bit confused. “Oh, no disrespect little mommy. I like a girl who snacks hard. I eat mad gummies all day,” he adds, before claiming all his friends call him Baby Joker.
The film also stars Orange is the New Black’s Taylor Schilling, Brian Tyree Henry, Matt Walsh, and Bryn Vale. It has a 77% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with the Chicago Sun-Times writing: “For all its creatively weird detours and raunchy dialogue, Family is ultimately a conventional and formulaic story of how Everyone Grows and Becomes a Better Person After One Madcap Crazy Week.”
Unfortunately, it’s not currently available on any streaming platform, but it can be bought or rented digitally via Amazon Prime and other on-demand services.
