Forgotten The Office star says it was “the worst time of her life”
NBCFor many, The Office is a TV show that nobody wants to forget. For one of its forgotten guest stars, it was the “worst time of her life.”
They say that UK comedies can’t be replicated by the US, but 2005 sitcom The Office proved the theory to be incorrect, lasting for 14 seasons.
Spinning off from the Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant original the show “documents the exploits of a paper supply company in Scranton, Pennsylvania. With an office including the likes of various peers, this series takes a look at the lives of its co-workers.”
With a whole host of famous faces, some have easily got lost in the crowd along the way – but one has now called the experience “the worst time of her life.”
Dakota Johnson says The Office was “the worst time of her life”
Madame Web star Dakota Johnson has revealed that her fleeting appearance in NBC sitcom The Office was “the worst time of her life.”
During an appearance on Late Night with Seth Myers, the star explained: “That was honestly the worst time of my life. They were like, ‘Do you want to be in the series finale?’ And I was like, ‘Of course,’ thinking that I’d show up for like half a day. I was there for two weeks. And I’m barely in the f**king show.
“There were weird dynamics that had been going on for the last 10 years. Some people didn’t speak to each other. And I’m coming in like ‘So excited to be here!’ No one wanted to talk to me. No one gave a f**k… I was like in the background of all of these scenes, faxing things.”
Johnson appeared in The Office during the series finale, which aired in May 2013 – something she shared in common with talk show host Seth Myers. During the same episode, Myers was seen to be performing a fictional skit from Saturday Night Live.
Over on social media, opinion is divided on Dakota’s comments – and her Madame Web press tour as a whole.
“Most unnoticeable celebrity ever. She could have been in every minute of the episode and nobody’d know,” one posted on X/Twitter in response to the interview. Another weighed in: “Why she complaining so much now?”
However, others love her direct approach, stating “I love how brutally honest she can be,” with a fourth adding: “She’s giving us so much in these interviews!”
