Dune star posts hilarious synopsis for sequel

Dune 2 has everyone excited as the story of Arakis continues with Paul Atreides set to take on the Harkonnens, but actor Josh Brolin has a worthy and comical synopsis of what happens in the movie.

Denis Villeneuve‘s continuation of the popular sci-fi book series sees the return of Paul as he has become a member of the Fremen. With his home and father gone, Paul takes up the mantle as the Duke and the Muad’Dib.

He begins a quest to take down the people who took everything from him – the Harkonnens. Interwoven are dark politics as the Emperor also plays a hand.

The trailers for the movie set up a possible masterpiece of storyline with new characters, settings, and a fight for power. But actor Josh Brolin has always been known for his comedic antics and offers fans a detailed synopsis of Dune 2.

Josh Brolin breaks down Dune 2

The actor took to Instagram to share a cast video during the Dune 2 premiere press events and called the movie all about “robot lady and Wonka.”

Per his Instagram, “DUNE 2 release is less than TWO WEEKS!!! Robot Lady and Wonka fall in love. Then Elvis tries to fuck it all up while his bad dad floats in a pool of pond scum. The WWE dude from Guardians gets super pissed while Midsomer hottie puts the eyes on Wonka Obi-Wan just after his Mom gets caught taking LSD in a sandy bathroom. Chigurh still doesn’t like the guy from The Goonies. 
I mean who doesn’t want to see all that on IMAX??? The pandemic is over. Strikes have come and gone. Fuck it. It’s time to commune again and experience that amazing feeling of when the lights go down, you have your hand deep in your Popcorn worm, and DUNE 2 consumes you. HAVE FUN.”

As many will know, Timothée Chalamet recently starred as a younger version of Willy Wonka in a prequel movie that did well at the box office. At the London premiere, Zendaya stunned spectators by wearing an original piece from Thierry Mugler’s fall 1995 collection that looks like a sci-fi/robotic suit.

Austin Butler also gained praise for playing Elvis, while David Bautista made his career in the WWE before moving to Hollywood and joining the MCU. The Midsommar “hottie” is Florence Pugh who played Dani in the folk horror movie.

If Brolin’s synopsis of the movie wasn’t enough to convince people to go, then his depiction of the infamous Dune 2 popcorn bucket and ambiance of a movie theater certainly does.

People commented on his Instagram, “Genuinely laughed so loud I woke up my sleeping baby. You sir have just convinced this new mom to book a ticket to watch Dune 2 at the cinema. Great marketing!”

Another said, “This is the kind of stuff that should be featured in the ‘critics quotes’ that appear in promo trailers!”

Dune 2 is set to premiere in theaters on March 1, 2024.
