Euphoria’s Eliot may not return for Season 3 as Dominic Fike kept in the dark
HBOEuphoria actor Dominic Fike admitted that he is still unsure if he will return for Season 3 but would certainly like to come back if it’s in the cards.
Euphoria has become one of the most contentious shows of recent years. The HBO series, which stars Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, and more, focuses on the ins and outs of high school life while also centering on themes such as drug addiction, body image, and more.
Fike made his debut on the show in Season 2, his character Elliot largely appearing alongside Rue and Jules and becoming a major point of conflict for the couple and their eventual breakup.
During a recent interview with Variety, Fike revealed that he is still unsure if he will be returning for Season 3 of Euphoria. The actor said that it “would be dope” to reprise his role however, he later admitted that he doesn’t “really talk to” the Euphoria team anymore.
Fike also admitted that he was nearly dropped from Euphoria on the whole, the actor opening up about his own struggles with addiction in the past and how this became a challenge for him when working on the show given how prevalent the topic of drug addiction and abuse is throughout the series.
However, the one cast member who has been confirmed as not returning is Barbie Ferreira. Ferreira – who played Kat Hernandez in seasons 1 and 2 of the show – revealed that she would not be coming back to the show in Season 3, due to not wanting to become just the “fat best friend.”
She made the announcement via Instagram in August 2023, writing out a message to her followers.
