Netflix2024 will be a packed year for fans as Netflix is not only releasing a long list of K-dramas and Korean movies but also some drama-filled and worthy reality/competition series.
Netflix struck gold with K-dramas and Korean content, especially when it comes to reality/competition series. Its biggest claim to fame is the dating series Single’s Inferno which has been greenlighted for a fourth season.
Let’s not forget fans were hooked on the adrenaline-filled Physical 100 and The Devil’s Plan. Going into 2024, Netflix will bring back some of the series for second seasons, alongside some newcomers. From zombies to dating, to finding the best physique, Netflix fans will be busy.

Risqué Business: The Netherlands and Germany

The first to be released this year is Risqué Business: The Netherlands and Germany. Based on the title alone, you can expect a bit of scandal but informative content.
According to Netflix, “Risqué Business is a talk show featuring Shin Dong-youp and Sung Si-kyung, where the two meet people from the unexplored world of adult entertainment. The candid conversations, at times spicy and at times casually cool, broach various topics on sex that many are curious about but have little knowledge of.”
This isn’t the first season of Risqué Business as the reality series previously ventured to Japan to explore its sex cultures and adult entertainment industry. They also spoke to medical sex experts in Taiwan and put a focal point of knowledge on the LGBTQ community. The new season will go beyond Asia to Europe.
Physical: 100 Season 2 – Underground

The battle to see who is the strongest and has the best physique will return on Physical 100 Season 2. Netflix found another hit in the reality/competition series as it took famous and non-Korean athletes and celebrities to the ultimate test.
Bodybuilders, baseball players, Olympic athletes, and more were pitted against each other individually and in teams for one goal. To see who has the best physique and a cash prize. What’s lifting 100 pounds if you can’t run a mile against the best?
Netflix announced a second season to continue the venture to find the best body. For Season 2, 100 contestants will join and go through grueling challenges testing their strength, endurance, speed, and overall body. Only one person can be left standing.
Agents of Mystery

An unscripted adventure mystery series infolds at Netflix. The 2024 reality/competition series for Netflix titled Agents of Mystery will be a fun watch. Six “agents,” Lee Yong-jin, John Park, Lee Eun-ji, Hye-ri, Kim Do-hoon, and Karina.
The agents will dive into bizarre incidents that can’t be explained by science and uncover clues and details. Their mission is to solve cases in unique ways. Agents of Mystery comes from the mind of producer Jeong Jong-yeon, the man behind The Devil’s Plan.
Super Rich in Korea

One of Netflix’s Korean reality/competition series for 2024 is Super Rich Korea. The unscripted series takes you into the glamorous lives of multibillionaires living in South Korea. Enter into the world of the top 1 percent.
“A Singaporean chaebol billionaire, an heir to an Italian luxury brand, a Pakistani noble family member, the Kim Kardashian of the Arab world with 50 million followers, and a Paris Hilton-esque shopaholic—they all have the means to live anywhere in the world, but they love Korea and chose to call it home,” per Netflix’s logline.
You will look into their lives from what they eat, what they like to wear, and what car they like to drive. Super Rich Korea will be hosted by Got7’s BamBam, Cho Saeo-ho, and Mimi.
The Influencer

Get ready to see influences in their natural habitat fighting to see who has the most influence. The Influencer will be the latest reality/competition series from Netflix for 2024 where social media influencers are pitted against each other.
Tagged as an unscripted survival series, influencers will go through tests and missions to see who’s really on top.

People from all walks of life battle in a culinary showdown. Unknown Chefs (working title) begs the question of who is really the best cook in South Korea. The unscripted competition series takes hobbyists, professional chefs, and people regardless of age or gender and puts them in the kitchen.
A series of competitions will put them and their skills to the test, adding a bit of flavor to everyone’s screens.
Single’s Inferno Season 4

The fiery drama of Single’s Inferno returns with Season 4. Shortly after the finale of the third season, Netflix was quick to release the news of a new season. This is likely due to them filming in the summer and airing in the winter. It will be one of Netflix’s Korean reality/competition series for 2024.
Since 2021, the dating series has been a success as it focused on Korean men and women venturing to a deserted island. Tagged as “Inferno” they are given less than desirable living conditions while still hoping to find a spark. Per the rules, they can’t reveal their ages or professions on the island. The only way to do so is by matching with another and escaping to Paradise.
Single’s Inferno Season 4 will have a new group of contestants. The third season made a few changes to the rules and predicament and will likely continue in the new season.
Zombieverse Season 2

What if a real zombie apocalypse broke out? Would you survive? This was the concept of Netflix’s Zombieverse. Seoul was turned into a zombie apocalypse with Korean and non-Korean celebrities tasked with trying to survive. Zombieverse was a hit among fans and led to a Season 2 renewal.
A new cast of contestants is set to take part in the new season, alongside upgraded adventures and missions. Zombieverse arose after Netflix’s grand success in the K-zombie genre from Kingdon, All of Us Are Dead, and more.
