A still from Ginny and Georgia

Our favorite mother/daughter duo since the Gilmore Girls is returning for more meddy drama in Ginny and Georgia Season 3. Here’s the 411 on when filming started, which cast will return, and more.

Ginny and Georgia Season 2 was a whirlwind. Ginny’s love life got real complicated real fast, and we ended the season with Georgia behind bars.

But if there’s one thing Netflix‘s blonde bombshell does brilliantly in the binge-worthy TV show, it’s rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

You’re dead wrong If you thought that was the last of the Millers; Season 3 is coming to the streaming service, and we’re only just getting started.

Is there a Ginny and Georgia Season 3 release date?

There’s no release date yet. Ginny and Georgia Season 3 began filming in Toronto, Canada on April 29, 2024, so the next season should come out by early 2025.

Season 4 was greenlit at the same time as Season 3’s renewal.

“We are beyond excited to finally kick off production and keep bringing our fans the characters they love.” creator and executive producer Sarah Lampert told Tudum.

This new season features a creative change behind the scenes: showrunner Debra J. Fisher exited the show after Season 2 and was replaced by Sarah Glinski (Degrassi: The Next Generation).

Ginny and Georgia’s Season 3 cast is largely the same as Season 2‘s, with Antonia Gentry and Brianna Howey back as the series leads.

Season 3 plot

Ginny and Georgia Season 3 will be the hardest trial for the Miller family yet, as the new episodes deal with the fallout of Georgia’s arrest and ruined wedding.

“We ended Season 2 with Georgia arrested for murder — ruining her fairy tale wedding and leaving the fate of the Miller family hanging in the balance,” Lampert said.

“It’s always been Ginny and Georgia against the world, but the world has never come for them quite as hard as it will in Season 3.”

If you’re a fan, you’ll know Georgia was arrested at her wedding for the murder of Cynthia’s husband, Tom. Season 3 will look at the impact this has on Ginny and Austin, who was involved in the shooting.

“When we had to develop the storyline for Season 2, we knew exactly what we wanted Season 3 to be,” Lampert previously explained to Tudum. “Georgia needed to kill someone and she needed to kill someone in Wellsbury, Massachusetts.”

Season 3 will throw “new hurdles, new relationships, and new challenges” at Ginny and Georgia “in a way we haven’t seen before on the show.”
