Hazbin Hotel has a star-studded cast voicing its main characters, with Episode 6 debuting Glee actor Darren Criss in a new guest role. But can fans spot what character he plays?

From Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz to icon Keith David, the adult animated series has some well-known actors behind the voices. Not to mention Orange is the New Black star Kimiko Glenn as the rambunctious Niffty.

But as the storyline progresses in Hazbin Hotel, the series has introduced a few new characters that will play a key role or appear as guests. Darren Criss is well known for his role as Blaine Anderson in Glee, and won an Emmy and Golden Globe for his role in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

With the series having a musical element, who better to cast as a guest character with his impressive vocals? Here’s the character he plays in Hazbin Hotel.

Who does Darren Criss play in Hazbin Hotel?

Darren Criss not only plays an angel in Hazbin Hotel, but he plays one of the head-honchos: Saint Peter.

In Episode 6, Charlie takes a meeting in Heaven to finally be able to tell them her plan to stop the Extermination with her rehabilitation plan. The portal to the pearly gates open and Charlie is on her way with Vaggie. Before entertaining, they have to check in and meet Saint Peter.

Darren Criss’s tone fits the character perfectly. Saint Peter is checking the list and purposely trying to pretend that Charlie’s name isn’t there. When Charlie explains Lucifer got her the meeting, Saint Peter is a bit stunned and tries to shoo her away.

But the lead seraphim Sarah and her daughter Emily arrive to welcome them. As an introduction to heaven, Saint Peter belts into a song with ‘Welcome to Heaven’ by Sam Haft and Andrew Underberg. The song is upbeat and a bit disco as Saint Peter explains the glories of heaven. Everyone is happy because there’s nothing to worry about and nothing ever goes wrong. Above all, everyone is “hot.”

It’s no surprise that Criss was given a singing number for his guest role in Hazbin Hotel. After all, he rose to fame in the musical series Glee covering hits like ‘Teenage Dream,’ ‘Raise A Glass,’ and ‘Somebody That You Used to Know.’ Criss’s career in music has earned him a spot in heaven in Hazbin Hotel.
