Horror fans hail trailer for new movie with perfect Rotten Tomatoes score
ShudderThe trailer for new horror movie Late Night with the Devil has launched, and genre fans are saying “Sign me tf up!”
Shudder is the go-to streamer for horror fans, featuring a mix of weird and wonderful scary movies.
The channel makes horror films, and acquires them at festivals, with Late Night with the Devil falling into the latter category. The movie played at SXSW 2023, where reviews were stellar, resulting in a current Rotten Tomatoes score of 100%.
A high-concept found footage flick that plays out during a 1970s talk show, the movie hit screens later this month before launching on the streamer, while horror fans are loving the trailer that just launched online.

The trailer for Late Night with the Devil can be viewed below, while the official synopsis is as follows: “In 1977 a live television broadcast goes horribly wrong, unleashing evil into the nation’s living rooms. What unfolds next is shocking…”
Stephen King has already chimed in on the movie, Tweeting last March: “Late Night with the Devil: I got a screener. It’s absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t take my eyes off it. Your results may vary, as they say, but I urge you to watch it when you can.”
While this week the rest of us got a look, and the reactions have been roundly positive. VengeanceWood writes: “A horror film not just taking place in a haunted house? Sign me tf up.” While Xraypc says: “this actually looks awesome, finally creepy and creative!”
David Dastmalchian stars as the host of that aforementioned talkshow, and people are happy that an actor who has played supporting roles in the likes of Oppenheimer, The Suicide Squad, and Dune, is finally taking center stage.
Graeme Games writes: “The premise and style are 10/10. I’m already SO on board!! Also, you get it David Dastmalchian!! This dude KILLED his 2 minutes in The Dark Knight, and he’s been phenomenal to watch ever since. Stoked to see him in a leading role!!”
While of Dastmalchian, Em says what we’re all thinking about the actor: “That man makes me uncomfy.”
Finally, Darritos drops by with a joke, Tweeting: “I’m telling my kids this was Late Night with Conan O’Brien bc this sounds like something Conan would do.”
