The nominations for the 2024 Oscars are about to be announced – here’s what time they’ll come out and how you can watch them at home.

“And the Oscar goes to…”: those five words have provided some of the biggest applauses, delightful surprises, and shocking upsets in awards movie history. Who can forget the deafening reaction to Parasite winning Best Picture in 2020, coming a year after the muted response to Green Book’s victory.

This year could mark a true battle of the best, with Oppenheimer set to dominate nominations across nearly every major field – but its wins are far from a done deal, with the likes of Barbie, The Holdovers, and The Zone of Interest vying for not just nominations, but possible clutches come the big night.

Today, January 23, marks the announcement of the 96th Academy Award nominations. If you want to watch them live and scream, shout, scoff, and cheer, here’s what you need to know.
