As fans watch Episode 6 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, many have wondered if Mark Hamill is in the new Disney+ series.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians has taken audiences by storm as millions have been sucked into the god-filled world that Percy and his friends inhabit.

Based on the book series of the same name by Rick Riordan, the show follows Percy as he discovers that he’s a demigod and embarks on a dangerous adventure in order to clear his name of a crime he didn’t commit.

The first six episodes are now streaming on Disney+ and as fans have watched the latest episode, many have wondered if legendary actor Mark Hamill is in the new kid series, so here’s everything we know.

Does Mark Hamill appear in the Percy Jackson series?

No, Mark Hamill does not play any character in the new Percy Jackson series, but one actor does look a lot like him.

In Episode 6 titled “We Take a Zebra to Vegas,” Percy and his two friends, Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood, go to the Lotus Hotel in Las Vegas where they encounter a new character named Augustus who looked eerily similar to Hamill.

The actor who actually plays Augustus is Ted Dykstra, who is best known for Dad Tiger in Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Reg in RoboRoach along with striking quite the resemblance to the Star Wars actor.

Augustus is a brand new character in the Percy Jackson canon as he does not appear in any of the books the TV show is based on.

In the series, Augustus is a Satyr who is trapped in the Lotus Hotel whom Grover befriends and quickly realizes the older creature has fallen victim to the hotel’s deceiving charm.

Though it’s unclear how long Augustus has been trapped within the casino, he’s seen wearing clothes that look like they could be from the 1980s or 1990s, so he could’ve gone missing at least two decades ago.
