The live-action Lilo & Stitch remake is back on track after delays, and the first images from the set have given fans hope for the upcoming movie.

For a short while, it looked like Disney live-action remakes might become Hollywood’s dominating force. We had an endless string of reboots and updates, with each one trying to be bigger, better, and more realistic. Next in line is Lilo & Stitch.

Lilo & Stitch follows the likes of The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Mulan in getting its own live-action do-over. Set in Hawaii, the 2002 original follows the adventures of a young girl and her pet alien, Stitch.

After production delays surrounding the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, shooting is now back in full swing. If that wasn’t enough for fans, the first images coming from on-set videos are giving Disney devotees a lot to be excited about.

Fans thrilled by first look from Lilo & Stitch set

An on-set video posted to TikTok revealed a look at the Lilo & Stitch set, and even gave a glimpse of the two main characters.

“HE ACTUALLY LOOKS GOOD???” said another.

“Why does this look more realistic than any alien photo that’s ever been leaked,” added another.

Another response said: “He actually looks good I’m shocked.”

The reveal of Stitch seems to be at the center of attention. Of course, it’s possible that this is just a practical method for shooting and the final version of Stitch might come out differently, but it’s clear where Disney fans stand on how they want their Stitch to look.
