Is there a new Look Who’s Talking movie? “Sequel” explained
TriStar PicturesLook Who’s Talking? More like look who’s watching – but will there be another film in the franchise? Here’s what we know.
An incredibly unexpected sequel sometimes ends up being the best movie of the year – just look at the likes of Top Gun: Maverick. However, 1986’s Look Who’s Talking never had the same level of success.
The film’s synopsis reads “A single woman faces hard times after the birth of her child. She finds an unlikely friend and possible love interest in a cab driver. Meanwhile, her newborn tries to make sense of her hurried life.”
Despite this, there are fresh rumors surrounding a potential “sequel” for the franchise. But will Look Who’s Talking actually be coming back? Here’s everything you need to know.
Is there a new Look Who’s Talking movie? “Sequel” explained
No, there won’t be another Look Who’s Talking “sequel” – chances are you’ve seen a fake movie poster created by Facebook mavericks YODABBYABY.
YODABBYABY are the brainiacs behind other such fake posters as the Clueless sequel, the Spirited Away TV series, and another Stargate movie – none of which are even happening or in the pipeline.
Fans of the original might remember that there actually was a sequel to the first film, titled Look Who’s Talking Too. Released in 1990, it fared even more badly than the initial outing – which is possibly why YODABBYABY felt the story deserved a second chance.
The post caption reads “LOOK WHOS TALKING AGAIN!!! Get ready for a delightful family reunion in ‘Look Who’s Talking Again,’ starring John Travolta, Taron Egerton, and Elizabeth Olsen. Follow Mikey and Julie, now grown up, as they navigate the joys and challenges of impending parenthood, with their dad James by their side. With twins on the way for both siblings, this heartwarming comedy promises laughs, love, and plenty of surprises.
“Don’t miss it in theaters this December 2024, featuring the adorable voices of the babies, portrayed by David Schwimmer, Margot Robbie, Timothée Chalamet, and Brie Larson.”
Alas, we won’t be seeing Look Who’s Talking again in December, or any other movie appearing on this Facebook page, simply because none of them exist. However, you can find an amazing crop of films to stream instead here.
