Ryan Gosling’s reaction to ‘I’m Just Ken’ award win goes viral
Warner Bros.Anywhere else he’d be a 10 – but Ryan Gosling’s reaction to his ‘I’m Just Ken’ award win has quickly gone viral on social media.
The Kenergy is real this awards season, with original Barbie song ‘I’m Just Ken’ tipped to sweep the category – kicking off with the Critics Choice Awards.
Having said that, the song will have plenty of direct competition from its own film, with Billie Eilish’s ‘What Was I Made For?’ and Dua Lipa’s ‘Dance The Night’ also in the mix.
With one win already under his belt, Ken star Ryan Gosling‘s reaction has already gone viral on social media.

Ryan Gosling’s reaction to ‘I’m Just Ken’ winning Best Original Song at the 2024 Critics Choice Awards has gone viral on social media, with fans describing him as “flabbergasted.”
“Bro was flabbergasted he thought it was a prank,” one fan posted on X/Twitter in response to the clip, with a second adding: “I can literally smell the memes already…”
Fan reaction to the song has already been epic even before awards season arrived, with memes in full glory – even extending to Ryan Gosling releasing a Christmas version of the tune.
However, Gosling’s bemused and glazed-over look has now got fans thinking about what might be to come.
“Winning got bro thinking, ‘Was that Kenough?'” one fan replied to the viral video clip. Another added“: “Did he ever get up to receive the award bro hasn’t moved.”
“Real-time clicking that he’s gonna have to perform at the Oscars,” a third mused.
A fourth wondered: “I’m starting to think Ryan Gosling thinks this song is bad and is judging everyone for liking it so much.”
Gosling’s commitment to Ken has been obvious from the get-go, explaining to ExtraTV: “Very little is known about Kenergy. And we don’t have the funding for the research.
“We know that it’s real. In my case, it came on as a rash, and then it turned into a tan. And then suddenly you’re shaving your legs, and you’re bleaching your hair, and you’re wearing bespoke rollerblades.”
Other fans pointed out the potential hypocrisy of this particular Barbie award win.
“It’s so wild cause I feel like a main theme in Barbie was men doing the bare minimum and getting celebrated for it and it literally created a real-world example-” one tweet read.
