Addison Rae and Suits star’s horror movie drops brutal new trailer
TriStar PicturesIt’s time for turkeys and terror, as the brutal new trailer for Eli Roth’s upcoming horror movie has dropped, starring Addison Rae and a legendary Suits star like you’ve never seen them before.
Eli Roth, the maestro of macabre, has carved his name into the annals of horror cinema with his unmistakable brand of spine-tingling, gore-infused terror, with splatter and slasher being his specialty. The filmmaker’s use of humor in his movies adds depth and unpredictability to the viewing experience, and is evident from the outset of his career with the likes of Cabin Fever and Hostel.
Due to his preference for the pulpier side of cinema, it’s no surprise that back in 2007, Roth wanted to get in on Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s Grindhouse action. And he did so by making a truly fitting fake trailer for a slasher in which residents of Plymouth, Massachusetts, are sliced and diced over the Thanksgiving holiday.
But now, more than 15 years since the fake trailer debuted, Roth is ready to unleash a feature length flick for the idea. What’s more, he’s rallied a whole host of unlikely cast members, including TikToker Addison Rae and a Suits icon – one who previously starred in Hostel.
Brutal Thanksgiving teaser trailer shows a gagged Addison Rae and creepy Suits star
The teaser trailer for Thanksgiving dropped today, and it’s got everything you’d expect from a Roth movie – there’s dark humor, outlandish violence, and plenty of bloodshed. Check it out:
There’s also a slasher in the form of a traditional American pilgrim, as well as TikTok star Addison Rae tied to a chair, gagged, and screaming her lungs out. And if that weren’t exciting enough, at the end we see none other than Suits’ very own Louis Litt star Rick Hoffman with a wicked grin across his face. “Let’s eat,” he says.
It’s safe to say the fans are hyped for what’s to come, with one writing: “This looks so good, like a good old fashioned slasher. Can’t believe it’s actually coming- so happy rn.” “Nice to see the trampoline scene still in it,” said another, referencing Roth’s original Grindhouse trailer.
“For 16 years we’ve never thought it will be done but now years later they finally are doing it,” said a third. “You’ll come home for the holidays in a body bag.” While a fourth added: “I can’t wait!! I’ve been waiting for this since 2007 when I saw Grindhouse in theaters. Eli Roth has returned to his true form.”
Others referenced the lineup of cast members, with one writing: “‘Eli Roth’s new Thanksgiving slasher starring Addison Rae’ is the most batsh*t insane sentence I’ve ever heard.” Another quipped: “Thanksgiving is about to get LITT UP.”
