Four major shows returning in June – but fans say “one is more important”
HuluSummer is going to be busy if you’re a TV fan, as four major shows are returning with new seasons or making their debut – but some fans say “one is more important” than the rest.
Last year saw some impeccable entries to the TV landscape, from the cinematic conclusion of Jesse Armstrong’s Succession to the perfect small-screen adaptation of The Last of Us and the faultless second season of The Bear.
2024 is already shaping up to be another solid year – in March alone, 3 Body Problem, X-Men ’97, Invincible Season 2 Part 2, and Grey’s Anatomy Season 20 are just a few of the titles headed to streaming.
But June is set to be an even bigger month, with four TV shows making their small screen return or debut. There’s plenty of excitement, with one in particular standing out.

The Bear Season 3, The Boys Season 4, House of the Dragon Season 2, and Star Wars: The Acolyte are all debuting in June 2024 – but some think the first on the list is “more important” than the others.
Taking to X, one wrote, “Excited for all of these, but one of them is way more important than the rest,” while sharing a gif of Ebon Moss-Bachrach’s Richie from The Bear. Some agree, including a reply saying The Bear is the goat.
Another said, “One of them is gonna cook the others. Pun intended.” And a third similarly quipped, “We eat so good in June, and one of them will actually cook the others! Pun intended.”
Not everyone agrees, however, with one person replying to the original post with the gif of House of the Dragon’s Viserys (Paddy Considine) saying, “I will have your tongue for that.” Another joked, “That’s funny you put a gif of The Bear instead of The Boys. You’re still able to correct your mistake.”
But most of the discussion is sheer excitement for the fact that the June TV slate is looking stacked. “Too much peak fiction to handle,” commented one, while another said, “This is where the fun begins. It’s stacked and I can’t wait to consume all this content.”
The Boys Season 4 will premiere on Prime Video on June 13, which you can read more about here, while Star Wars: The Acolyte will premiere on Disney+ on June 5, and you can read everything we know here.
As for House of the Dragon Season 2 and The Bear Season 3, they’re yet to receive an official release date, although they’re both set to drop in June 2024. You can read all about the former here and the latter here.
