The Boys Season 4 trailer just confirmed two major cameos

The Boys Season 4 trailer is here, and it’s just confirmed two previously leaked cameos that involve stars of the Gen V spinoff.

While June is shaping up to be one of the most exciting months for television in a long time, fans have just got their first official The Boys Season 4 trailer. It’s just as expected: incredibly bloody with toe-curling levels of gore.

But that’s not all. The anti-superhero TV show is also set to put a whole new spin on The Seven, turning them from beloved public figures into vengeful gods. With Homelander at the helm, Billy Butcher and the rest of The Boys have their work cut out for them as the latest season of the hit show approaches.

But despite the Supe-killing virus and bullet-reflecting chickens, there’s one thing in the trailer that’s definitely caught the attention of fans: the reappearance of Sam and Cate. (You can see them at the 0:59 mark below.)

The two were major characters in Gen V and ultimately went on to become the spinoff show’s antagonists. As Season 1 came to a close, the two had become part of the superhero spin machine under Vought International, despite having turned against their group of friends.

There have been theories and leaks suggesting that Sam and Cate would appear in The Boys, but the trailer actually confirms this by showing them standing next to A-Train. This could indicate that, by now, the two have been fully initiated into The Seven. Or, at least, they’re in training and under Homelander’s thumb.

The sneak peak of the two Gen V characters instantly caught the eye of fans. Overall, the reaction has been pretty positive so far.

“I gasped,” wrote one Reddit user about the cameo. “This show is becoming as exciting as the MCU was to me 5 years ago.”

“Cate and Sam looking like wrathful gods already, I yelped when I saw them!!!” said another.

“Love the Gen V connection with Cate and Sam,” said one X comment.

How Cate and Sam will tie-in to Homelander’s new Supe supremacist plans remains to be seen, but come June 13, things are going to get pretty wild.
