“Bats**t” new Jennifer Lopez trailer has people “screaming”
Prime VideoTo most, she’ll always be Jenny from the Block, but now Jennifer Lopez has revealed a brand-new “bats**t” trailer, leaving fans “screaming.”
Thanks to movies such as Maid in Manhattan and Marry Me, singer Jennifer Lopez is arguably just as well known for her acting as she is for her music.
In 2024, she’s set to combine the two with a ‘visual aid’ for her latest album This Is Me… Now – though it’s yet to be confirmed whether this will extend into a full-length feature.
Regardless, its recent trailer drop has been branded “bats**t” by viewers, with Jennifer Lopez fans left “screaming” from the immediate confusion.
“Bats**t” new Jennifer Lopez trailer is a must-see
A brand-new trailer for Jennifer Lopez’s This Is Me… Now: The Film has dropped, with fans online immediately branding it as “bats**t.”
The second trailer for JLo’s latest project dropped on January 17, 2024 – though it seems to have generated more confusion than clarity.
According to the film’s official synopsis, This Is Me… Now is “an intimate reflection and highly visual reimagining of Jennifer Lopez’s journey of self-healing and everlasting belief in fairytale endings.”
“Please f**king watch this bats**t trailer,” one X/Twitter user posted in response to the trailer drop. “Her and Affleck are absolutely delusional,” added another, with a third weighed in: “Wtf is this I’m screaming.”
For most fans, the biggest problem is working out what the Jennifer Lopez project actually is in the first place.
“Is this a musical? Is it a rom-com? Is it an action movie? What the hell is going on in that trailer? I feel like I saw 6 different movies in the span of the 2mins I just watched,” wrote one fan.
Another stated, “This is like the opposite of all those trailers in recent years that give away the whole movie because after watching this I still have absolutely no clue what this movie is in any capacity let alone plot-wise.”
The movie is directed by Dave Myers, with an additional cast list including Ben Affleck, Keke Palmer, Sofia Vergara, and Jennifer Lewis. The runtime – and other key movie details – currently remain unknown.
“Couple questions: 1. Why do we need to know this story? 2. Who asked her to do this? 3. Who gave her this budget? 4. Is she serious? 5. Is she singing or will Ashanti, Christina Milian, and others be singing too?” one fan mused.
Meanwhile, others are just pleased to see Jennifer Lopez back on screen, commenting: “This film looks so good, I can’t wait to watch it, who’s coming with me??”
