Before the grand release of Dune 2, Chalamet had already developed buzz at the box office with his portrayal of Willy Wonka. A striking difference from his role as Paul Atreides in the Denis Villeneuve sequel. While both movies were a success, Dune 2 pushed Chalemet further into the spotlight calling for an Oscar nomination.

The movie surpassed ticket sale numbers over Oppenheimer and was tagged as a cinematic marvel that’s once in a lifetime. There’s no denying that Dune 2 is at the peak of Chalamet’s career and will be hard to top for some time.

Timothée Chalamet will star in a Bob Dylan biopic

The Dune 2 actor is already in the works to star in a new movie, and this time as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown.

Before the press tour, Chalamet was already hard at work for his next project portraying legendary musician Bob Dylan. A Complete Unknown is currently in pre-production and is one of the most anticipated biopics since 2022’s Elvis. Chalament has been attached to the project since 2020.

It will be helmed by Ford v Ferrari director James Mangold. He’s had more than a few hits under his belt with Walk the Line, Wolverine, 3:10 to Yuma, and more. The Bob Dylan movie still has storyline details under wraps. What’s known about the movie is it explores the musician’s rise to fame in the music industry as a folk artist.

You can likely expect one of the most pivotal moments in his career like playing an electric guitar at the 1965 Newport Folk Festival. According to Collider, Chalamet is also reported to do his own singing for the movie, having already impressed fans with his vocals in Wonka.

A Complete Unknown will also star Boyd Holbrook, Elle Fanning, Monica Barbaro, Nick Offerman, and P.J. Byrne. Holbrook will star as Johnny Cash with Fanning and Barbaro starring as Dylan’s love interests Sylvie Russo and Joan Baez. The character of Russo is inspired by Suze Rotolo, whom Dylan dated before his big break.
