The Mean Girls musical remake brings back the drama of high school dating, even the infamous Regina George cheating scene – but fans are wondering who plays the man she cheats with, Shane Oman?

Remember the iconic scene in Mean Girls where Cady finally gets the upper hand to ruin Regina’s relationship with Aaron? After Gretchen is convinced that Regina hates her, she begins to spill all her secrets to Cady. One of them is that Regina cheats on Aaron every Thursday in the projection room with Shane Oman.

It kickstarts part of Cady’s plan to get Regina caught by trying to get Aaron to catch them in the act. The scene was recreated for Mean Girls the 2024 musical movie and brought back Shane Oman.

While fans relished seeing the scene once again, they went ga-ga over the actor playing Shane Oman thanks to the one small snippet of the scene they got. The question is: Who plays Shane Oman?

Who’s the actor playing Shane Oman?

Actor Brian Altemus played the role of Shame Oman in Mean Girls 2024, while the original movie had actor Diego Klattenhoff in the original role.

Unlike the original, the cheating scene plays out a bit differently. But its one of the reasons why fans have thirsted over Altemus ever since. In Mean Girls, Shane and Regina are in the projection room before Aaron arrives. But as they are about to get caught, Regina hides and pushes an underwear-clad Shane away into clear view.

Mean Girls 2024 was a bit different and fans only caught a glimpse of Shane, but it was enough. Instead of a projection room, it was a janitor’s closet. Aaron opens the door and catches Regina partially undressed as Shane is in the background naked and sitting in the sink. Fans have thirsted for Altemus ever since that small and brief scene in the movie.

Altemus is relatively new to the acting scene and is 26 years old. He started out as a rowdy student in Never Rarely Sometimes Always before playing Luke Friedman in Grand Army. In The Time Traveler’s Wife, he played the role of Young Henry DeTamble.
