Though Yellowstone isn’t due to make its comeback to screens until November 2024, some fans are claiming to have “inside information” on how the show ends.

Even though CBS hit Yellowstone isn’t quite on its way out yet, the current Season 5 has run into a whole host of problems before it reached a conclusion.

Not only have episodes been extremely delayed by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, but leading man Kevin Costner has decided to distance himself from the program, instead taking on the Old West by himself.

Before Yellowstone is officially down and out, some fans are claiming to have “inside information” on how the entire show is supposed to end.

Yellowstone fans have “inside information” on final ending

According to a recent Reddit thread, some fans have “inside information” on how the Yellowstone ending is due to pan out.

A still from I Want to be Him in Yellowstone

“I have been told by an insider…can’t name names…that in the finale 2 cowboys have a final showdown…might be Rip…not sure,” the Redditor commented. “Anyway in a horse spin-off. It goes too far. The horses spin with such vigor and malice that it literally opens up a vortex to the nether realm…and ancestors of the tribe rise up and take back what is theirs as was promised in 1883. Roll credits.”

“Horses tear a hole in the fabric of space and time and there’s a new multiverse…where horses ride humans,” another user responded.

However, for some fans, the ending of Yellowstone is a bittersweet feeling after the release of previous seasons.

“The show already ended. It had already died. They just wanted to milk it a little longer, post-mortem, until the tit dried up. TS knows this. KC knows this. It is why Sheridan told Paramount that he’d only do one season of 1883 (It told the intended story from beginning to END) and the real reason Costner left. The show went from fantastic in season one to insipid and embarrassing in season 5. Yes…I watched all of it more than once. I still love it even though it lame as hell toward the end,” a third user weighed in.

“At this point, I’m thinking that they just fill out part 2 of season 5 with Sheridan just doing cowboy things. Finale will show the Yellowstone supervolcano exploding and killing everyone making the entire series pointless,” a fourth agreed.

The potential loss of Kevin Costner from Yellowstone is also bound to be significant, with another Redditor musing “To my understanding, Kevin Costner isn’t filming any more scenes. I’m interested to see how they’re gonna handle it if we ever do get the 2nd half of season 5.”
