They don’t have a perfect marriage, but it sure is a solid one. Will George and Mary get their own spin-off show after Young Sheldon? Here’s what we know.

With Young Sheldon heading the way of The Big Bang Theory and exiting stage left, fans are wondering what to do with themselves as the walls of the Sheldon-verse close in.

However, it’s not all bad news, as several potential spin-offs are on the horizon. Georgie and Mandy’s family life has been long-discussed, alongside a potential sequel of “Old Sheldon.”

As fans are convinced as many as three new spin-offs could be on their way, will George Cooper Snr. and Mary Cooper get their own show after Young Sheldon?

Though nothing has been confirmed as of yet, some Young Sheldon fans are desperate to see George and Mary get their own spin-off.

There is certainly plenty in the pair’s marriage that would make for interesting viewing, starting with how the couple dealt with the ‘unplanned’ arrival of their eldest child, Georgie. This links back to how Georgie’s relationship with Mandy developed over the course of Young Sheldon, with fatherhood also happening to him at a young age.

On top of this, George’s alleged infidelity with neighbor Brenda would also make the couple’s dynamic interesting to explore, in turn leading to theories that Mary herself might cheat in Young Sheldon Season 7.

“I’d love to see young meemaw LOL with lots of young Mary in it. Seeing Meemaw learn her lesson about how she raised Mary and Mary learning to mature through her pregnancies would be great. I’m sure we’d miss young Mary,” one fan posted on Reddit. Another agreed, stating, “I would say young Mary, I would like to see how Meemaw was like back when Mary was a teenager, how she and George met, any exes, etc.”

“I would love to see a spin-off talking about young George and Mary,” a third weighed in. “I think it would definitely bring some nuance about their relationship and what they’ve been through together.”

However, some fans are convinced that the marriage between the Cooper family parents is a tale as old as time.

“Hard to imagine them being much different than now. The story would have to be about Meemaw and her now-dead husband, and her other kids who aren’t talking to her now. I feel like I know George and Mary, past, present, and future,” a fourth user summed up.
