Adin Ross claims Twitch made him take a lie detector test to get unbanned
YouTube/DJ AkademiksKick streamer Adin Ross says Twitch forced him to take a lie detector test in order to reverse his permaban.
Adin Ross has emerged as one of the more controversial streamers on the net, with antics that have resulted in a handful of bans throughout the years.
In 2022, the streamer was hit with an indefinite ban on Twitch for allegedly using a homophobic slur on YourRAGE’s broadcast, but was able to get it reversed.
According to Ross, he’s kept the reason for his unban a secret… but during a February 2024 stream, he spilled the details, claiming that Twitch had him take a lie detector test to prove his innocence.
Adin Ross reveals absurd Twitch lie detector request
While on Kick with fellow streamer Konvy, Ross explained that Twitch allegedly made him take a lie detector test in Houston to prove he didn’t say a homophobic slur.
“They were asking me if it was my voice on YourRAGE’s stream where I said [slur], and I passed it and I used that as evidence to get unbanned on Twitch,” he claimed. “No one knows that, I just said it. I swear on my life.”
Ross followed this up by saying that someone at Twitch had sent him to take the test, claiming he was there for a long time.
“I had to prove it wasn’t me who said it. That’s how I got unbanned. I had to prove to Twitch it wasn’t me,” he added.
The Kick streamer also revealed he was able to pass the test by “clenching his butt cheeks.”
So far, Adin hasn’t provided any proof of having to take a lie detector test, but if true, this is certainly one of the wildest ways to get unbanned in the platform’s history.
Of course, his unban wouldn’t last forever, as he was once again permabanned in 2023 for “hateful conduct” – but at this point, he was able to make Kick his permanent home where he still streams.
