ExtraEmily claims she has never worn deodorant: “I didn’t think I needed to”

Twitch streamer ExtraEmily has raised some eyebrows amongst her followers after revealing she has “never worn deodorant in [her] entire life.”

When it comes to basic hygiene, wearing deodorant is a must for many, and applying it daily is part of most regular morning routines.

However, there are those who go about their lives without… and Twitch streamer ‘ExtraEmily‘ is one of them.

In a recent video, the streamer admitted she had never worn deodorant as she didn’t think she needed it, and was left shocked when told she had body odor.

Following a workout, Emily was streaming on Twitch when asked by her friend and fellow content creator, Caroline Kwan, to check if she smelt bad. Obliging, Emily ducked down to perform a sniff test on Caroline’s armpit before announcing, “You smell great.”

Asking for Caroline to check her too, Emily was left stunned when told she did in fact smell a little; “What!? Does it actually? No, no, Caroline be honest. I’ve never even worn deodorant in my entire life — I thought I didn’t need deodorant.”

When asked to explain the smell, Caroline said, “Uh, like [body odor]. I mean you did just work out. You don’t wear deodorant?”

Emily was evidently shocked by the revelation, claiming she would need time to “digest” the news. This isn’t the first time the streamer has discussed her hygiene habits, having previously told viewers she has the ABCC11 non-functioning gene that results in odorant substances not being produced.

However, even those with the gene may still experience some body odor, albeit less than the average person. This aligns with Emily’s situation, especially considering she had just come from a “two-hour” workout.

It seems at least Emily may be adding deodorant to her shopping cart next time she plans on hitting the gym.
