Twitch’s affiliate sub-split options are getting better thanks to massive new changes in the company’s Partner Plus program.

Announced back in June 2023, the Twitch Partner Plus program is a set of goals established by the company that gives streamers with partner status the ability to earn a 70/30 revenue split on subscriptions.

Many considered the program’s requirements “unattainable,” and slammed Twitch for including a $100K cap on earnings through the increased revenue.

Twitch revealed a handful of updates to the program on January 24, 2024, giving affiliate streamers some good news.

Twitch affiliates can now qualify for 60/40 sub split

In a blog post, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy revealed that they’re expanding the Twitch Partner Plus program — and changing its name in the process.

Starting May 1, 2024, the company will be adding a new level to the program that allows streamers to receive a 60/40 revenue share split with just 100 Plus Points so they can earn more money even faster.

The existing 70/30 split option has been lowered to just 300 Plus Points from 350 as well, making it even easier for streamers to earn the sought-after revenue share.

With the new easier-to-access level, Twitch is giving affiliates on the site the ability to qualify for the program.

On top of that, Twitch is removing the $100K cap on revenue for those on the site earning a 70/30 sub split through the program.

Due to it not being limited to partners as of that date, it will simply be known as the “Plus Program” when the changes go into effect on May 1, 2024.
