Spanish wildlife advocate and adventurer Frank Cuesta got attacked by a wild buck during a live Twitch stream in a hair-raising moment.

Frank Cuesta is a prominent Spanish TV presenter and wildlife enthusiast who runs his own YouTube channel and Twitch streams.

After an injury put a stop to his tennis career, Cuesta dedicated his life to helping animals, even purchasing a 37-hectare sanctuary for critters that cannot be released back into the wild.

While Cuesta has undertaken a number of feats that would make even the likes of Steve Irwin impressed, his latest live-streamed venture is leaving viewers with their jaws on the floor.

On January 29, 2024, Cuesta was streaming on his Twitch channel when he approached a wild buck and two does on the property of his animal sanctuary.

After does fled the scene, the buck charged at Cuesta, goring him in the stomach with its antlers. In the shocking clip, Cuesta can be heard yelling out in pain as he struggles to free himself of the deer.

Luckily, Cuesta emerged from the incident alive — but not unscathed, revealing the extent of his injuries in a YouTube video.

According to translations, Cuesta suffered two broken ribs as a result of the scuffle, along with a few abrasions.

While it’s no secret that bucks can be dangerous creatures, Cuesta put the blame entirely on himself, explaining that it’s the middle of rutting season when male deer can get particularly aggressive.

“Is this a bad thing? No. This just shows that the sanctuary really works, because the animals are still wild,” he said after the incident, according to a translation from a viewer.

“This deer is an animal that adores me, but it has its reactions. It has its testosterone, it has its days, and that’s why we always need to be careful with these animals, every single one of them could be lethal… well, not the turkey… but any of them could be lethal.”

Cuesta admitted that, although the buck usually loves him, he should have given the animal its space, given the fact that it’s currently mating season.

This is just the latest shocking wildlife-related clip to go viral online after a Kick streamer broadcasted herself spearing a wild boar in a stream that sparked controversy on social media.
