Leaked Project A character has abilities similar to Overwatch heroes
Riot GamesA screenshot of a character appearing to be in Riot Games’ upcoming FPS ‘Project A,’ or possibly ‘Valorant,’ has emerged online and she bears a striking resemblance to Overwatch’s Mercy and Moira heroes.
The leaked screenshot contains the name of the character, Sentinel Sage, her appearance and a list of abilities.
Additionally, the bottom of the photo shows characters from what appears to be a select screen. One is locked while seven seem to be selectable.
Apparently some PROJECT A images of some of his characters were leaked apart from the fact that Riot Games has recently registered a trademark for the name 'VALORANT' 🤔 @Spideraxe30 @osevno @Keppworks @wandakunpls @papuchochoe pic.twitter.com/KhiloGoawh

Sentinel Sage has four abilities listed. Her first ability, bound to mouse button one, is called Barrier Orb: “EQUIP a barrier orb. FIRE places a solid wall. ALT FIRE rotates targeter,”

The two that stand out the most are “Healing Orb” and “Resurrection,” considering the two abilities are very similar to Overwatch heroes.
In Overwatch, Moira can send a healing orb forward that heals up allies it comes into contact with. Sage’s ability states that the player must shoot the orb at an ally to activate a healing effect on them over time.
Resurrection, meanwhile, is the defining trait of Overwatch’s Mercy hero and Sage’s version seems to be exactly the same.
While placing crosshairs over a dead teammate, you can channel a resurrect on them that will bring the ally back with full health.
It should be noted, however, that one of the abilities were tied to Mouse 1 or Mouse 2, suggesting that this isn’t the end of Sage’s attacks as it’s likely she still has a primary and alternative fire.
As Dexerto previously reported, it’s looking like more details regarding Project A will be revealed soon. Riot recently registered the trademark ‘Valorant’ and has appeared to have created Twitch and Twitter accounts using that same name.
Under the “Classes and Terms” section of the trademark filing, there are several classes of note, including video game software, figures, broadcasting. and esports competitions.
At this point, no definitive release date has been announced, and no indication has been given that the game will be made available in beta form. As always, we will continue to bring you the latest news on Project A as more information gets released.
