WoW players call for three huge quality-of-life changes in Season of Discovery
Blizzard EntertainmentWorld of Warcraft: Season of Discovery is about to enter its second phase and some players want Blizzard to introduce major quality-of-life changes that could make a huge difference to how people play.
The latest seasonal offering from the developer saw the Classic formula altered significantly. Players were able to access new abilities and powers via the Rune Engraving system. To match this relative increase, Blizzard upped the challenge offered by enemies to match.
Furthermore, there was plenty of new content to jump into. The Blackfathom Deeps 10-man raid adaptation and the Battle for Ashenvale PvP event gave the community a lot to work towards within the game’s first phase and the confines of Vanilla Azeroth.
Now, players are calling for three major changes that could tip Phase Two over the edge.
Dual Spec tops the list for expectant players in Season of Discovery
In a post on Reddit, one player shared their desire for Blizzard to take things further than ever before in Season of Discovery.
At the top of the list is Wrath of the Lich King’s Dual Spec, which allows players to switch between specs far more easily than in Classic proper. Add to that nameplates visible at 40 yards, and instant mail between alts and the OP believes Blizzard would be onto a winner.
Many were quick to agree. One said: “Crazy that dual spec isn’t a thing. Absolutely insane that in the mode where everything is new and we’re encouraged to experiment we are also discouraged from doing so.”
Another added: “It would be really really dumb to have a “remaster” of classic of sorts, meant to be trying stuff and not give us dual spec to experiment. The 40y nameplate is also a no-brainer, it’s just dumb that a bear is quite close to you but you can’t see the nameplate. The instant mail is more whatever, would be neat to have but I won’t ask for it”
With Blizzard confirming more details about Season of Discovery Phase Two all the time, some of these changes could be on the way.
